Semper Curious is a space for thoughtful people with a thirst for knowledge in the sciences, social sciences, humanities, and contemporary issues. The goal is pleasure and personal growth.
In theory, there are many resources available to the independent learner. But in practice, without the right materials and the guidance and support of others, exploring new areas can be frustrating, unproductive — and not much fun.
For this reason, many inquisitive people pursue a more casual approach, clicking a link here, a name there, but without much integrated understanding. This may be fun, but it’s also superficial and haphazard — and rarely satisfying for complex or nuanced subjects.
Semper Curious encourages exploration in the casual style through compact experiences and formats. Each experience is self-contained and requires only a modest investment of time. But the offerings as a whole are coherently organized to build long-term interest and intellectual depth. There are also many small-group discussions with peers and university guest scholars. The overall experience is one of a mentored journey through interesting and important subjects.
